What is K¹²9¹²?
K¹²9¹² is a unique high school program available through public and private online schools around the country and throughout the world. We’ve taken the K¹² proprietary courses—widely regarded as the standard-bearers for online course quality—and wrapped them with experiences, support, guidance, choices, community, and Web 2.0 kinds of tools. With more than 90 online courses from which to choose, including three to four versions of core subjects, students can enjoy an individualized high school program tailored to their goals and abilities. Whether targeting a 4-year university, a local community college, a training school, or an immediate career, K¹²9¹² prepares students to maximize their post-high school success.

How can I get K¹²9¹²?
Our program is available in many states tuition free through top online public K¹² partner schools, as well as worldwide through the private K¹² International Academy. Students can also take individual, for-credit K¹² high school courses with full teacher support through the K¹² International Academy.

What courses are offered through this program?
K¹², a CITA-accredited leader in the development of online curriculum, provides a robust high school catalog of more than 90 core, elective, and AP® courses, including World Languages, and computing and technology courses. In addition, the core subjects areas, Math, Science, English, and History, are available in multiple levels to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Can I earn a high school diploma through the K¹²9¹² program?
Yes. The private K¹² International Academy, as well as each online public K¹² partner school offering the K¹²9¹² program issues a diploma and defines diploma requirements based on the governing state’s requirements. Each school’s website will provide specific details about the diploma granted by each. Find out how to get K¹²9¹².

What is the Individualized Learning Plan?
Each K¹² partner school offering the K¹²9¹² program will develop an Individualized Learning Plan for each student, mapping out multi-year personalized learning strategies. The ILP is designed to organize and properly sequence the student’s course work while helping articulate the student’s academic strengths and weaknesses. How do students socialize when it's an online program?
The K¹²9¹² program facilitates local, national, and international connections between students, students and teachers, and parents—both online and off. There are also a variety of ways for students to get involved, demonstrate leadership, showcase their creativity and hard work, and share ideas and experiences with fellow students.
