Oregon Virtual Academy

How It Works (K-8)

The Oregon Virtual Academy is a tuition-free public school that uses the K¹² curriculum, which is accessed via an online school as well as through more traditional methods. Materials are delivered right to the family's doorstep—including books, CDs, and even bags of rocks and dirt.

We also partner parents and students with an Oregon-licensed, Highly Qualified teacher to guide and track their progress through the curriculum. There are monthly scheduled conferences that occur online or via phone as well.

Student-to-student interaction is emphasized too, so ORVA students are always well educated and well socialized.

Who is this intended for?

The Oregon Virtual Academy serves students in grades K-8 who reside within the state of Oregon.

What are the costs?

Because we're part of the public school system, the Oregon Virtual Academy is tuition-free. The entire K¹² curriculum is provided free of charge, as well as a loaner computer, printer, and Internet stipend.
